Brochure Highlights Oregon University Solar Strengths

Oregon BEST Proposal Matching Program

Oregon BEST has launched a program to provide matching funds to research and equipment acquisition proposals that are seeking competitive external funding. This program will leverage the state's investment in renewable energy and green building research by making proposals from Oregon faculty more competitive and increasing the level of outside funding of these areas. Oregon BEST Hires Intel Exec as First Director

David Kenney is a 12-year Intel veteran with knowledge of sustainable business practices as well as nonprofit management experience as a board member of a sustainable agriculture education center. Results of Mini-Mixers

"Mini-mixers" were held a the U of O, OSU, and PSU campuses on February 7th & 8th, 2008. University faculty was asked to bring one slide presenting their idea for BEST research funding. Some private sector firms attended and added their ideas also. The sorted results of the meeting are presented in a summary table — links are provided to the slide associated with each research title. Each research title has one slide. A summary list of those that attended each session is also available.
