Bold Tech for Bold Targets: A Global Call for Innovation

Since the Paris Agreement opened for signatures on Earth Day, more than 175 countries have committed to moving forward with ambitious targets for reducing carbon emissions. The need for innovation in technology and design to meet these targets is clear. The Paris Agreement marks a rare consensus and show of global support for climate solutions.

At Oregon BEST FEST 2016, we’ll explore this unprecedented opportunity and what it means for innovators in the Pacific Northwest. Our signature event brings together a diverse community of inventors, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, and curious individuals who have the common goal of accelerating solutions to environmental challenges.

In this two-day, hands-on gathering, a range of regional and national speakers will present transformative ideas and innovative solutions to inspire our audience and provoke dialogue. Presentations and interactive programming will focus on rapidly transforming cutting-edge research into new clean technologies, companies, and jobs. The audience will have opportunities to meet with presenters and rate some of Oregon’s top cleantech startups.

Join us September 8-9 at Portland's World Trade Center to learn about where we're heading at an international level and what it means for our region.

"Oregon BEST clearly puts on a great event every year...advancing Oregon's cleantech economy...and helping Oregon show the world that making smart decisions now is critical to building a more resilient and sustainable economy for the future."

- Gov. Kate Brown at Oregon BEST FEST 2015

"I can’t recall a conference that offers more potential for the average attendee than Oregon BEST FEST. In no other conference have I felt such a broad learner mentality. The current clean technology landscape — being quite moldable — imbued an interesting dual effect: the existence of so much unchartered water seemed to energize curiosity/brainstorming, and I noted a consistent feeling that participants were searching...perhaps from the refreshing open decision space and potential for leadership, teaming, and ingenuity that exists at Oregon BEST FEST. I would highly recommend calendaring Oregon BEST FEST for 2016."

- John Kitchens, Oregon BEST FEST 2015 attendee
