Oregon BEST Hires First Outreach & Engagement Manager

PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon BEST has hired Gwenyth Barrow as its first Outreach and Engagement Manager to help the nonprofit bring together Oregon’s cleantech community and more deeply engage with Oregon BEST.  

Barrow will help manage the execution of Oregon BEST's events and competitions, and maintain cohesion of the website, communications, marketing, branding and collateral. She will support the evolution of the organization's signature event, Oregon BEST FEST, as well as its Agenda Development Series, which brings university researchers and industry representative together to collaboratively develop research agendas that address the most critical cleantech needs.

Prior to joining Oregon BEST, Barrow worked as Archives Technician and Research Coordinator for the Yosemite National Park Archives in El Portal, Calif. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Arts in Writing from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom.

Barrow is excited about her new position in her new home state, which has a growing reputation as a cleantech innovator and sustainability leader.

"I was drawn to Oregon because so much is happening here in the field of sustainable design," Barrow said. "It's great to be here while this is taking place."
