Get SBIR/STTR Help from Oregon BEST

Oregon BEST offers support to small businesses and university researchers under a program known as the Federal and State Technology Partnership Program (FAST) that is funded by the Small Business Administration.  Under that program, the following support resources are available to eligible entities.  The funds available under this program are limited and there is a screening process to select the most promising opportunities.

Leon Wolf, SBIR/STTR Program Coordinator

Consultation

We can review your technical concept and your company status and provide feedback on whether you have the right ingredients for seeking an SBIR/STTR grant.  We can discuss finding a technical collaborator (typically a university researcher) for a small company seeking a Principal Investigator.  We can also assist university researchers seeking a small company to collaborate with to commercialize a new invention.

Training

We provide webinars, seminars and training sessions to help companies and researchers learn more about the SBIR/STTR process and how to write a compelling grant proposal.  Please see SBIR/STTR Training and Workshops to learn more.

Grant Writing

We can provide no-cost or low-cost grant writing services by professional grant writers for promising proposals.

Proposal Review

We can connect you to technical reviewers who can provide feedback on your draft proposals and we can also provide consultation with seasoned business people with experience in starting and funding early stage companies.

Administrative Guidance

We can assist you in navigating the administrative process of getting registered and submitting an SBIR/STTR proposal.
