RUTE Foundations are an anchored beam footing created specifically for utility scale wind turbines. These were first designed to reduce construction schedule constraints and uncertainty of soil/foundation reactions. Now mature in design, RUTE T32 girder model footer reduces the environmental impacts, logistics, and the cost of high mass foundations.
The system allows for reduction of about 200 CY of concrete per 2.0MW WTG. RUTE Foundations reduce a typical 100MW Balance of Plant CAPEX cost by $3M under certain wind farm conditions. These savings include: Lowered cost of concrete batch and air quality permits; mitigated public road impact due to the low volume transport; flexible delivery and staging packages; and reduced bridge loan liability.
