Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) Design Contest

October 1 through December 1, 2015: Registration is open to participate in the Oregon CLT Design Contest. We are looking for an innovative, viable building project that will serve as a true demonstration for the aesthetically beautiful and structurally-sound use of cross-laminated timber in Oregon.     • REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: SBIR/STTR Coordination Project

      Oregon BEST is seeking proposals related to its SBIR/STTR Support Center activities funded in part by the U.S. Small Businsess Administration. The program provides consulting, grant writing and adminsitrative assistance to small businesses in Oregon that are seeking funding from federal agencies under their SBIR/STTR programs.

    • A National First: Cross-Laminated Timber

      D.R. Johnson, an Oregon BEST Company, is now the nation's first producer of structural cross-laminated timber (CLT), massive engineered wood panels that could help NW timber towns. A $200K design competition sponsored by Oregon BEST, OSU, and UO aims to fast-track adoption of CLT.

    • Indow Sees Growth, International Distribution

      Tapping support from Oregon BEST, thermal window insert maker Indow has grown from three people and a prototype in 2010 to 30 employees and 100+ dealers selling products internationally.
