More than 250 Oregon BEST Member Faculty are working to find solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. By collaborating with students and Oregon businesses, they have attracted more than $135 million in research funding for clean technologies in areas ranging from energy to shelter to agriculture.

Every September, the cleantech community gathers for Oregon BEST FEST, the Pacific Northwest’s premier cleantech innovation conference. Collaboration Sparks Ideas and Opportunities
Oregon BEST brings people together to connect and innovate. We nurture a broad-based network of partners that include our Member Faculty, entrepreneurs, startups, businesses of all sizes, industry groups, strategic and venture investors, and many like-minded organizations. Working together we have impact beyond our scale.
The Oregon Forest Resources Institute (OFRI) is looking for a full-time Director of Forest Products to help promote the use of wood products among architects, engineers and the building community.
Three of the five winning startups sharing $300,000 are improving energy storage, reducing fertilizer waste, and transforming forest biomass into fuel.
HoneyComb Corp., maker of drones for use in ag and forestry, adds 14 staff, raises $1M, and is attracting national attention from John Deere, others.
Federal STTR grant will advance technology being tested at Widmer Brothers Brewing that treats wastewater while generating electricity.
